Trekking in Thailand can be filled with wonderful experiences if you choose the right trekking operator. Many operators in Thailand take trekkers to villages filled with tourists with little or no hill tribe culture. All Thailand Experiences is the only one allowed to take visitors into the hill tribe villages in our area as we respect their customs and traditions.
They are our personal friends that we have known all our lives. You will be welcomed into their homes as invited guests.
The people of the villages are farmers and do not look to the visitor as a source of income. The people are shy but friendly and are perhaps more interested in you then you are in them.
    [Lahu village]
[visiting a Akha village] Interaction with the daily life of the villagers is encouraged and their customs, traditions and lifestyle will be explained to you.
We will educate you about the do's and don'ts in each village so as not to offend them or their spirits that watch over the village.
This means you will have a richly rewarding experience that is difficult to find in today's modern Thailand.
[beds in hosts livingroom] Food during your trek is always delicious and there is plenty of it.

Sleeping will be in a clean house with your host family.

During your village trek you will meet Lisu, Lahu, Akha, Karen, and Shan hill tribe people. You will see these people working their fields on almost vertical sloops in their colorful costumes.
The views of the surrounding area is spectacular from vistas on mountain tops we must go over to reach these villages.

You will return to the camp then your guide will flag down another bus to the city of Fang. Here you will have lunch of your choice (lunch not included in the price) and visit the local Market. From here you will take a "Songteaw" to see a beautiful Burmese style temple then on to the quiet town of Thaton. Here you will check into your bungalow at beautiful Wat Thaton Temple. DAY TWO

After an all-you-can-eat breakfast consisting of toast, eggs, fruit, coffee or tea we will hike over the hills to a small Lisu village of only 4 families for a short rest. We then travel on to a Lahu village for lunch.
We walk over another mountain to an Akha village for another rest and finally to our host Akha family in a different Akha village. Here we will have another delicious dinner and spend the evening. This village has no electricity, toilet or shower.

    DAY THREE

After another hearty breakfast we will return to the Lisu village, passing through hill tribe villages, in time for lunch and shower. We then take a private long tail boat to Chiangrai stopping at a Lahu village and Hot Springs along the way. You may spend the evening in Chiangrai, take an evening flight to Bangkok or return with us to Chiangmai arriving around 8 PM.

You may also do a combination of both the Village Trek and Jungle Safari if you so desire.
