After learning how to eat properly, Yoga and exercise taking this Thailand wellness travel tour I lost 74 lbs in 8 months. My weight is 165 lbs, fit and firm, not bad for being 60 years old. My waist was 44 inches and now 34 inches. My goal weight is 155 lbs and waist 32 inches so just 10 more pounds.
Before I had to take cholesterol and blood pressure medicine and now my doctor says my weight, blood pressure and cholesterol levels are under control and the medicines are no long needed.
Now I can hike, trek, ride my bicycle, snorkel and do activities that were not possible before. I feel great.

Thailand Wellness Travel and Spa Retreat.
Day 1
We will greet you at the airport in Bangkok and transfer you to The Marriott Spa and Resort for the evening.
Day 2
After breakfast you will transfer to the airport in time for your late morning flight to Chiang Mai and transfer to The Spa Resort. Here you will have the weigh-in and Assessment of your fitness condition and health. We will explain what is expected of you for healthy weight loss during the program here in Thailand and how to maintain your weight loss program once you return home.
You will be given a calorie, carbohydrates, protein and fat reference book for thousands of foods and dishes including restaurant menus. You will also be given a record book to keep track of the types of food you eat, how many calories, carbohydrates, protein and fat you eat per day. Your nutritionist will explain how our bodies functions and why it is so easy to gain weight. We will go over the Spa’s menu and discuss the best dishes for you.

Day 3
Light Breakfast
08.45am - 10.15am Yoga class.
10:30am – 11:30am with your fitness trainer working out.
11:30 – noon, time to freshen up before lunch.
1pm – 3pm healthy food preparation classes and choices with your nutritionist.
3:30pm to 5pm. A trip to the supermarket with your nutritionist to show you how to shop for good, healthy, delicious and filling foods.
Take your time relaxing in our Herbal Steam Room (which includes 2 sarongs, 2 towels & showers) enjoy our Thai slender tea, and just relax around the steam and let the Thai herbs do their thing with refreshing breaks outside for the cold water splash.. After your steam a rejuvenating drink of watermelon juice. Now you’re ready for your hour Relaxing Herbal oil Massage. A Great Thai Massage plus the addition of Massage Oil which is applied with soft and gentle strokes. YOUR CHOICE of aroma oil Just after your great oil massage you’ll be treated to a fresh fruit salad to replace the blood sugar.

1pm This afternoon we visit Chiang Mai’s famous temples including Wat Prathat Doi Suthep on the mountain top overlooking the city.

Day 5
Light Breakfast
At 8:30 AM we'll pick you up at The Spa and drive through unspoiled villages in the Mae Teang area. Lunch will be served, then prepare yourselves to go on the rafting. At our camp you'll be outfitted with helmets and life jackets. After our staff brief you about the instruction on paddling and river safety. We will then experience a unique and unforgettable journey through winding gorges, luscious jungles, and magnificent terraced rice fields. Paddle through breathtaking canyons for unparalleled fun on the river. At the finish point, enjoy a shower and coffee break before return to The Spa.

Breakfast
At 8am you will be taken by vehicle to Chang Dao Elephant Training Center for a 1 hour elephant ride through streams and over mountains. We then travel by vehicle to a Lahu hill tribe village. Here we will have lunch brought from The Spa. We then hike 3 hours through the forest jungle where we will be picked up and taken back to The Spa.
Take your time relaxing in our Herbal Steam Room (which includes 2 sarongs, 2 towels & showers) enjoy our Thai slender tea, and just relax around the steam and let the Thai herbs do their thing with refreshing breaks outside for the cold water splash.. After your steam a rejuvenating drink of watermelon juice. Now you’re ready for your hour Relaxing Herbal oil Massage. Light Breakfast
08.45am - 10.15am Yoga class.
11AM check out then transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Phuket. We will greet you at the airport and transfer to Phuket Cultural Spa & Wellness Resort. Relax by the pool or your beautiful room then at 5:30-6:30 enjoy an Aqua Exercise Class.
Experience the marvelous feeling of weightless exercise created by waters buoyancy that supports your weight, protects your joints from injury, allows more flexibility of movement and boosts your body’s circulation system. All components of physical fitness are improved, weight management is assisted, overall health is enhanced and healthier lifestyle is yours.
Tonight at 7:30 your guide will take you to exciting Patong beach with it’s great seafood restaurants and night life. Return to the Resort around 10pm. |

At 11 you will be picked up and taken to Ao Por Pier to board the big boat on a Sea Canoe Journey and sunset dinner cruise to see the caves and hongs of Phang Nga Bay, with a late departure and the chance to enjoy dinner on board while experiencing the bay's magnificent sunset. The trips have a staff to guest ratio of nearly 1:1. From the escort boat, our guides paddle into Phang Nga bay's caves, Hongs, and stunning islands with only two guests in each custom-designed kayak. Return to the resort around 8 PM. |

Day 10
Breakfast
This morning we travel by private speed boat for island hopping, swimming and snorkeling with lunch on board or on a nice secluded beach, visit the wild monkeys. Return to the resort at your leisure. |

Our outstanding menu consists of an impressive array of dishes and drinks individually prepared to suit each person's element and blood type. The ingredients and flavors used support the balance of the elements while at the same time provide sensual pleasure. We then take a tour of old Phuket Town with it’s wonderful small shops and architecture. We will then have dinner at Phuket Fantasea with a wonderful Thai cultural show.

Transfer to the airport in time for your flight to Bangkok. Greet at the airport and transfer to The Marriott Resort and Spa. Tonight you will enjoy a romantic dinner on the Manohra, a converted rice barge on the river of King’s. The best way to see Bangkok, at sunset. Return to the resort. |
