SEGMENT "A"
Day 1,
We will meet you at the airport in Bangkok and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2,
We will greet you at your hotel in Bangkok around 8:30 AM then travel by long tail boat through the city
canals to see how the local Thai people live along the river. We then visit the Royal Grand Palace, Wat Po,
and Wat Arun (the Temple of dawn). We will have a nice lunch at restaurant on the river then visit Vinmanmek
Mansion return to your hotel. (B,L)

Here is a short 10 minute video of us visiting the Royal Grand Palace grounds and Wat Po in Bangkok Thailand and see
the Emerald and Reclining Buddhas. We then take a private long tail boat through the canals of Thonburi to see how people live on the water.

SEGMENT "B"
Day 3,
Today we travel to Khanchanaburi by tvehicle at 7:45 AM arriving at the River
Kwai Bridge and visit Kwai Bridge, lunch, WWII Memorial and Death Railroad.
Overnight in Khanchanaburi. (B,L)
Day 4,
Today we visit the Tiger Temple and Erawin waterfalls and lunch before returning to Bangkok or before departing
by air conditioned bus for Ayutthaya and overnight. (B,L)
SEGMENT "C"
Day 5,
Today we visit the ancient capital of Ayutthaya and return to Bangkok. or We then board the 4PM train to Pitsanulok and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 6,
Today we will visit Boathouse Museum showcasing the daily life of people living in boathouses. The house boat serves as a signature of
Phitsanulok. From north to south along both sides of the Nan River, house boats and rafts are lined up, creating a unique perspective.
We then visit Wat Phra Si Mahathat to see Phra Phutthachinnarat is considered the most beautiful Buddha image in Thailand. The large
Sukhothai-style bronze statue was cast in 1357. The statues unique feature is the flame-like halo a symbol of spiritual radiance. In 1931,
a gold coating of the image was added. Tonight you will enjoy the famous Flying Morning Glory Restaurant. Cooks stir fry this delicious plant
then toss it high in the air to waiters who catch it on a plate then server it to you. Overnight here in Pitsanulok. (B,L,D)
Day 7
We will have lunch then visit Buranathai Buddha Casting Foundry and the Sgt. Maj. Dr. Thavis Museum. Here you will witness skilled craftspersons
working on the reproduction of Phra Buddha Chinnarat images. It is possible to actually walk along the production line to see the whole bronze-casting
process. In addition, huge Buddha images are also cast here. The museum is definitely the place for those wishing to learn more about the Thai lifestyle.
Step inside a group of Thai pavilions and explore a private collection of antique items representing Thai rural life. They include indigenous arts,
pottery, farming and trapping equipment and household items. Old photographs revealing Phitsanulok's good old days are also on display. The foundry is
open on Wednesday through Sunday from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 P.M. Overnight train to Bangkok or We then board the 14:14 train to the small mountain town of
Den Chai arriving at 17:10. Here you will be greeted by your host Thai family where you will enjoy helping prepare dinner and the evening. (B,L,D)
SEGMENT "D"
Day 8
Today you have many choices. You can work in the fields with the family, hike in the teakwood forest in the mountains,
or just hang out in this old traditional Thai village with your guide. We will then take the 15:53 train to Lampang for the evening arriving at 18:20. (B,L)
Day 9
This morning we will visit the Elephant Conservation Center where you can bath and ride the elephants. We will then have lunch and visit the
ceramic kilns Lampang is famous for. We then take the 17:43 train to Chiang Mai. We will greet you at the train station in Chiang Mai and
take you to you hotel. (B,L)

mountain country to Lampang. We then visit temples and a ceramics factory that Lampang is famous for. |
SEGMENT "E"
Day 10
We then depart Chiang Mai by private vehicle for Doi Inthanon National Park. We will visit the summit by vehicle of the highest
mountain in Thailand and walk the Michael Trail. We have lunch then go to the Hmong Hill Tribe Market for fresh fruits to eat and
vegetables to cook this evening. We then walk around the Karen Hill Tribe village and school. Overnight will be in a private bamboo
bungalow with private toilet and shower near the Karen village. (B,L,D)

A few friends of ours had a holiday so we took them to Doi Inthanon National Park and stayed overnight.
We visited waterfalls, hilltribe villages, a trout fish farm and Karen hill tribe coffee house where they
grow and process their own coffee. See more under Day 11 |
Day 11
Today we hike for 3 hours visiting a beautiful waterfalls, have lunch and return to Chiang Mai for the evening. (B,L)

Near the summit of Doi Inthanon mountain, which is the highest mountain in Thailand, we walked the beautiful Gew Mae Pan trail.
This is also the home of the Green Tailed Sunbird, which is found no other place in the world except near the top of Doi Inthanon
and a common resident. We also visit a Homg hill tribe market. |
SEGMENT "F"
Day 12
This morning we visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep located high on the mountain overlooking the city. We will then have lunch and
visit the handicraft factories that have been an important part of Chaing Mai culture for hundreds of years. Tonight you will
enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner with Thai music and dance, return to your hotel. (B,L,D)

Everyone who comes to Chiang Mai Thailand visits Doi Suthep Temple. This beautiful temple overlooks the city of Chiang Mai.

When you come to Chiang Mai you should take in a Khantoke Dinner and show. This is not just for tourists as the

SEGMENT "G"
Day 13
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Chiang Mai and drive through unspoiled villages in the Mae Teang area.
Lunch will be served, then prepare yourselves to go on the rafting. At our camp you'll be outfitted with
helmets and life jackets. After our staff brief you about the instruction on paddling and river safety.
We will then experience a unique and unforgettable journey through winding gorges, luscious jungles, and
magnificent terraced rice fields. Paddle through breathtaking canyons for unparalleled fun on the river.
At the finish point, enjoy a shower and coffee break before return your hotel (B,L).
SEGMENT "H"
Day 14
We depart Chiang Mai for a National Park, here cables have been strung between tall trees up to 80 meters
in length and 100 meters above the forest floor. If you are afraid of heights this is not for you. You are
put into a harness, given a helmet and a safety briefing. We are then driven in a van about 5 minutes to
the starting point. Here another safety briefing is given along with what to do. The two guides will do
everything for you. They will hook the pulley and safety cable up to the suspended cable. They show you
where to hold on and off you go. The first one was kind of scary but after that the next 13 runs were lots
of fun. At one point we had to repel from a higher stand to one a little lower in the same tree then cross
a swing bridge to another tree. At the end we repel down to the ground. we then have lunch walk through the
forest to a waterfalls then return to Chiang Mai.

Here is a video of a new adventure in Chiang Mai . come with us as we fly from tree top to tree top with cables
and pulleys, loads of fun. I cannot describe the feeling except scary at first but after a while it is a blast,
you just got to try it. |
SEGMENT "I"
Day 15
We will pick you up at your Hotel or guest house and tale you to our starting point. Here you will be given a safety briefing,
and instructions how to safely drive an ATV. You will then drive our training course so you know what to expect on the trail.
You will then depart driving your own ATV following our experienced guide , you will travel a mountain trail to the summit of
Mount Khom Rong where the elevation of 1459 m. which usually provides cool and crisp mountain air and excellent scenery. You
will pass through hill tribe villages along the way. Transfer to your hotel or guest house after the tour in Chiang Mai

SEGMENT"J"
Day 16
We will depart Chiang Mai at 9 am by private vehicle and travel high in the mountains 90 Kilometers north of Chiang Mai to an
altitude about 1400 meters. Along the way we will stop at a local market to purchase food needed for the trip. We will arrive
at a beautiful quiet Lahu village where we have our lunch before we start hiking for about 4 hours in old growth forest trail
with tall trees and beautiful vistas to another village and overnight.(B,L,D)

Join us here on part 1 as we travel high in the mountains near Chiang Dao 80 kilometers north of Chiang Mai.
We hike to a cave, local market, Meo hill tribe village and overnight in a bamboo bungalow. The views are spectacular
traveling on dirt roads. In part 2 we hike to a beautiful water fall, visit other hill tribe villages, hill tribe school,
more breathtaking scenery and return to Chiang Mai |
Day 17
This morning after an all you can eat breakfast of toast, jam, eggs, fruit, coffee, and tea we start our journey.
Your guide will purchase a live chicken to take along for dinner tonight. We will hike up into the mountains passing
colorful hill tribe people working their Tea fields on almost vertical slopes. We will then follow a stream passing
many waterfalls as we enter the jungle. We will stop many times to harvest wild fruits and berries along with mushrooms,
bamboo shoots, herbs and spices. Your guide will explain the many medical uses for some of the plants growing wild in the
jungle. We will stop at a waterfall to enjoy a hearty lunch the guides brought along for us. One of the guides will travel
ahead of us to spot colorful birds, orchids, wild flowers, butterflies, and interesting wildlife to show to us. Around
three or four in the afternoon we will reach our camp site where we will spend the evening. Our guides will place banana
leaves on a bamboo frame that will be our hut for sleeping. All cups, rice bowls, chopsticks, spoons, and cooking utensils
will be made out of bamboo. The rice will be wrapped in banana leaves and placed in bamboo. Vegetables and spices harvested
from the jungle and food brought along with us will be placed in bamboo tubes for cooking. Chicken is placed on bamboo
sticks and cooked over the fire. While the guides are preparing your delicious dinner, you can freshen up at a nearby waterfall.
Dinner is served by candle light. (B,L,D)

Day 18
After a hearty breakfast we continue through the jungle for a 4 hour hike to our primitive bamboo bungalow in the forest.
We will arrive in time for lunch then walk 10 minutes to a waterfall where you can relax for a while or take a swim.
The back to the bungalow where you can make your own cups and bowls from bamboo, your guide will instruct you. You will
then learn to prepare and cook Thai food for dinner. Dinner and overnight here at the bungalow. Cold beer and soft drinks
are available for purchase to drink around the camp fire. (B,L,D)
Day 19
This morning after a nice breakfast we walk along a stream for 3 hours to a nice village where you will visit the school and
have lunch. Our vehicle will meet us here for the ride back to Chiang Mai and your hotel or guest house. (B,L)

Join us here on part 2 as we travel high in the mountains near Chiang Dao 80 kilometers north of
Chiang Mai. We hike to a beautiful water fall, visit other hill tribe villages, hill tribe school,
more breathtaking scenery and return to Chiang Mai. In part 1 we hike to a cave, local market,

SEGMENT"K"
Day 20
Today we will depart Chiang Mai at 9 am by private vehicle with guide and visit the Hill Tribe Museum then on to a quiet elephant
camp for an Ox cart for a 20 minute ride. We will have lunch then a 1 and 1/2 hour elephant ride through streams and over mountains
near a Lisu hill tribe village. We then walk about 100 yards to the village. Everything will be brought to the bungalow where you
will spend the evening with your guide and host villagers. You will take a 1 hour hike around the jungle near the village a see how
they harvest fruit and vegetables from the jungle for you to try. Tonight (weather permitting) the villagers will play traditional
music and you can dance with them around the camp fire. There is no electricity in the village but clean toilet and shower
(cold water) is available. Overnight and dinner at your bungalow in the village(B,L,D).

Dao Cave Shrine and Wat Thaton Temple and overnight in Thaton. In Part 2 We then traveled on to Chiang Rai stopping at many hill tribe

Day 21
This morning we return to the elephant camp by walking 100 yards then by vehicle. Here we will have breakfast. We then travel to Chiangdao
Cave Shrine for a 1-hour walk through the caves. We will travel through Fang Valley which is the second largest rice producing area in Thailand.
Here we will stop and visit a rice mill then on to the quiet small town of Thaton located on the Mae Kok River for the evening.
We will visit beautiful Wat Thaton temple located on top of the mountain with an excellent view of the valley below, The Mae Kok River and Burma.
Overnight at beautiful Garden Home bungalows in Thaton (bungalow on the river). (B,L)
Day 22
This morning we go high into the mountains to visit our friend at a Karen hill tribe village and Lisu. We then go to Doi Mae Salong to visit the hill
tribe market and have a Chinese lunch. We will other hill tribe villages a including a Shan village famous for it's cotton weaving and a Lahu hill
tribe village. We then travel to Chiang Rai by long tail boat stopping at a Akha hill tribe village and hot springs along the way. Return to Chiang
Mai, flight to Bangkok or Overnight in Chiang Rai (B,L,D)

SEGMENT "L"
Day 23
This morning we will visit the Golden Triangle and take a private speed boat ride to a small village in Laos (no visa needed). We then have lunch and
visit the ancient Lanna Thai Capital of Chiang Sean. Return to Chiang Rai and your hotel or Chiang Mai or flight to Bangkok. (B,L)
SEGMENT "M"
Day 24
Today after breakfast we transfer you to the airport in Chiang Rai for your flight to Phuket changing planes in Bangkok. Meet you in Phuket.
You will be taken to your resort on the Phuket island. The rest of the day will be relaxing in your room, by the pool or on the beach. (B)
SEGMENT "N"
Day 25
Today we have a Sea Canoe adventure exploring lagoons inside islands in Phang Nga Bay. Return to the resort in Phuket. (B,L)

SEGMENT "O"
Day 26
Today we catch the ferry to PHi PHi Island and your Resort. We will arrive around 2 PM and check into your bungalows.
The rest of the day will be at your leisure. (B)
Day 27
This morning after breakfast we will visit many beautiful beaches including maya Bay where the movie "The Beach" was filmed. All these areas are excellent for snorkeling with many hard and soft coral, colorful fish, crystal clear water, and snow white sandy beaches. Tall limestone cliffs tower high above the water arouind these wonderful coves. We will return to Phi PHi Island around 5 PM. Lunch will be included and eaten on a beautiful beach on Bamboo Island. (B,L)

We hired a private speed boat and went snorkeling in beautiful coral reefs, went swimming in spectacular
bays with beautiful beaches all to ourselves. We also visited the monkeys. |
Day 28
Today we take the afternoon the Sea Plane 10 minute flight back to Phuket then flight to Bangkok and your hotel. (B)

Here is the video of the short 15 minute hop by seaplane from Phi Phi Island to Phuket Thailand. Sure beats the crowded slow boat and the view is excellent. |
