Those who like to get away from the city will love this great experience
exploring nature and meeting friendly, interesting and fascinating people.
DAY ONE
DAY TWO
Today after an American Breakfast we will take you to the handicraft factories
where you will see local crafts persons at work. Lunch will be at the Chiangmai
Floating Restaurant where you will learn how to order and eat delicious
Thai food. We then escape the city to enjoy the beautiful scenery of
Doi Inthanon
National Park. The park includes the highest mountain
in Thailand and is the home of many exotic plants, wildlife,
waterfalls and Hill Tribes.

You have a choice of your private bamboo bungalow
with toilet and shower or camping overnight in the park under
tall pine trees. Dinner will
be
prepared fresh for you and
fruit around the campfire.
There is also a small store to purchase beer, soft drinks and
snacks, film etc. close by at the Park Headquarters. |

DAY THREE
After breakfast at the Doi Inthanon Birding Center we will visit the
summit of Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.
Then on to the famous Twin Chedis dedicated to King Bhumibol and
Queen Sirikit for the King's 60th Birthday. |
| From here we hike on the Gew Mae Pan Trail with
exotic plants, scenic vistas, and colorful birds. A fried rice lunch
will be taken with us to eat along the trail at a beautiful vista
We then travel to the Tallest Waterfall in Thailand, Nam Toke
Mae Ya, over 250 meters high.
We will return you to your Hotel or Guest House around sunset.

Overnight in selected hotel or Guest House
Tonight you are on your own to dine at one of Chiang Mai's Thai
or International restaurants, tour the famous night
bazaar for shopping, and indulge yourself in a relaxing Ancient
Thai Massage.
DAY FOUR
This morning after another hearty American Breakfast we will depart
for Baan Thaton on the banks of the Mae Kok River. Along the way we
will enjoy a one hour elephant ride through streams and over mountains.
Lunch will be at a restaurant watching the river and elephants. We
then move on to Chiang Dao Cave Shrine and Wat
Thaton with a fantastic view of Thaton and the river
valley below. |

We will spend the evening in your own comfortable
bamboo room at the home of a Lisu Hilltribe family. Showers and toilets
are available.
Before dinner he will walk you to the hill top behind his house
to admire the view and the sunset. |

Dinner will be all-you-can-eat family style.
This evening, Alutate, the Spirit Priest of the village, will
play many Lisu Musical Instruments he has made
by hand. |

DAY FIVE
After an all-you-can-eat breakfast consisting of toast, eggs, fruit,
coffee or tea we will hike over the hills to a small Lisu village
of only 4 families for a short rest.
We then travel on to a Lahu
village for lunch.

We walk over another mountain to an Akha
village for another rest and finally to our host Akha family in
a different Akha village. Here we will have another delicious dinner
and spend the evening. This village has no toilet or shower so you
may return to you room at the Lisu village if you wish for the evening.

DAY SIX
After another hearty breakfast we will take a short walk to meet a
vehicle which will take us to the hot springs and a Karen hill tribe
village then back to Asa's for lunch and shower. We then travel again
by vehicle to a Shan village. This village is famous for it's beautiful
women and excellent handicrafts such as Sa Paper,
Hand Woven Cotton Material, and Silver Jewelry. |

From here we will travel by Long Tail boat to see
a traditional Lahu
Hill Tribe village famous for their woven bags and material.
We will walk through this village as your guide tells you all about
the Lahu people. |

We continue along the Mae Kok River through lush mountain canyons
to Chiangrai arriving around sunset. Overnight
in selected hotel or Guest House |
DAY SEVEN
This morning after another hearty American Breakfast we will travel
to the northern most spot in Thailand on the Burma
Boarder at the village of Mae Sai.
Here you can shop for handicrafts, jewelry and clothes made in
Burma. |

Riding in a Speed Boat on the
Mae Khong River at the Golden Triangle |
We then travel to the famous Golden Triangle
where Thailand, Burma, and Laos join together along the mighty Mae
Khong River. Here we will have a Thai lunch at a bamboo restaurant
on the river bank. You may take an optional 30 minute speed
boat ride on the Mae Khong if you wish.
We will return you to your selected Guest House or Hotel in Chiangrai
around 5 pm. Overnight in selected hotel or

DAY EIGHT
After an American Breakfast your morning is free for last minute shopping
or sight seeing before being transferred to the Airport.
End of Tour.
