700 Year Old Wat Prasing
DAY ONE
We will greet you at the airport or train station in
Chiangmai and transfer you to your selected
Hotel or Guest House. We then visit Chiang Mai's famous
city temples including Doi Suthep Temple located on the
mountain top overlook Chiang Mai then to Wat Prasing. From here we take a peddle taxi, "samlor", to Wat Chedi Luang ending at your Hotel or Guest House.
Tonight at 7pm your will enjoy a Khantoke
Dinner with Thai and Hill Tribe music and dance. Overnight
in selected hotel or Guest House.
DAY TWO
This morning we travel to Doi Inthanon National Park and the highest mountain in Thailand. We will visit the summit and take an easy walk through the real cloud forest. This is the home of the colorful green tailed sunbird, which is found only on this mountain and a common resident. We will the visit a Karen hill tribe village, coffee plantation and rainbow trout farm in the village. We then have lunch at the Royal Projecr with organic food the visit a Hmong hill tribe village and waterfalls before returning to Chiang Mai and your selected hotel. (B,L)

DAY THREE
We then depart Chiang Mai for a quiet elephant camp for a 30 minute elephant ride through the forest and streams. We then travel to Chiang Dao Cave Shrine for a short walk through the cave. We then travel through Fang valley stopping at interesting spots along the way and have lunch in Fang. We then visit a rice mill in Mae Ai then a primitive Lahu village then a Thai Army outpost looking into the Burmese Army post, the Wah and Shan States and Wat Thaton temple.
We will then check into your selected hotel
or river side bungalows for the evening. (L)
DAY FOUR
This morning after breakfast we will visit a Karen Hill Tribe village then travel
to Ban Mai Mork Jam, a Shan Chinese village, on the Banks of the
Mae Kok River. This village is famous for it's excellent
handicrafts such as Hand Woven Cotton Material. From here we will travel by Long Tail boat to see
a traditional Lahu
Hill Tribe village famous for their woven bags and material.
We will walk through this village and visit the school as your
guide tells you all about the Lahu people, their traditions, and
lifestyle. We thern stop at an Akha hill tribe village and hot springs before arriving in Chiang Rai for lunch at "Little Pattaya" on the river.
Then on to The Golden Triangle by private vehicle and your selected hotel or resort for the evening. (B,L)
DAY FIVE
This morning we visit the opium Museum then take a private speed boat on the mighty Mekong River to a small village in Laos (no visa needed). We will then have lunch at a restaurant on the river. We then travel to Chiang Rai and your selected hotel for the evening. Tonight visit the Chiang Rai Night Bazzar close to your hotel. (B,L)
DAY SIX This morning we travel high into the mountains to the small village of Wawee and Laolee Resort. This area is one of the most beautiful in Thailand traveling along streams and lakes as we move higher and higher. The town of Wawee was settled by the KMT Chinese after they lost the fight during the communist revolution. We will stop at the White temple and villages along the way. Overnight at Laolee resort. Hot Springs
DAY SEVEN This morning we will visit general Laolee's home who fought with the KMT against the communist in China and then settled here. We then visit the tea plantation and factory which exports most of its tea to Taiwan. They still use wood to dry the leaves leaving a wounderful smoked flavor. Return to Chiang Mai and your selected Hotel for the evening. (B,L)
DAY EIGHT After an American Breakfast your morning is free for last minute shopping
or sight seeing before being transferred to the Airport.
