Doi Inthanon National Park North Thailand Culture & Nature Tour Lisu Hill Tribe Wat Chedi Luang, Once Home of the Emerald Buddha DAY ONE We will greet you at the airport or train station in Chiangmai and transfer you to your selected Hotel or Guest House. We then visit Chiang Mai's famous city temples including Wat U Mong, Wat Chedi Luang, and Wat Prasing, and Doi Suthep Temple located on the mountain top overlooking Chiang Mai ending at your hotel at 4pm. Tonight at 7pm your will enjoy a Khantoke Dinner with Thai and Hill Tribe music and dance. Overnight in selected Hotel or Guest House in Chiangmai. DAY TWO Today after an American Breakfast you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Doi Inthanon National Park. The park includes the highest mountain in Thailand and the home of many exotic plants, wildlife, waterfalls and Hill Tribe people. You will visit the famous Twin Chedis dedicated to King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit for the King's 60th Birthday. Lunch will be at the Doi Inthanon Birding Center. This afternoon we will visit a Hmong Hill Tribe Village and the tallest Waterfalls in Thailand, Nam Toke Mae Ya, over 250 meters high. We will return you to your Hotel or Guest House before sunset. Tonight you are on your own to dine at one of Chiang Mai's Thai or International restaurants, tour the famous night bazaar for shopping, and indulge yourself in a relaxing Ancient Thai Massage . Mae Ya Waterfalls Inside Chiang Dao Cave Shrine DAY THREE This morning after another hearty American Breakfast we will depart for Baan Thaton on the banks of the Mae Kok River. Along the way we will visit Chiang Dao Cave Shrine and Wat Thaton with a fantastic view of Thaton and the river valley below. We will then check into your selected Resort or Guest House in Thaton and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch. In the afternoon we will visit a Lisu Hill Tribe Village. This evening will be at selected Resort or Guest House in Thaton. DAY FOUR This morning enjoy an American Breakfast served on the banks of the Mae Kok River with it's beautiful morning mist and surrounding mountains. This morning we will visit an Akha Hill Tribe Village then a Shan Chinese Village famous for its beautiful women and excellent handicrafts. Here we will board the Long Tail Boat for the 2 hour journey to Chiangrai. A delicious lunch will be provided for you to enjoy during the boat ride. Overnight will be at a selected Hotel or Guest House in Chiangrai. Riding the Long Tail Boat The Golden Triangle DAY FIVE After your American Breakfast we will visit the famous the Thai Burma Border town of Mae Sai then on to the famous Golden Triangle. A Thai Lunch will be served along the banks of the mighty Mae Khong River. Here you may take an optional 30 minute Speed Boat Ride if you wish. We will return you to your selected hotel in Chiangrai before sunset. DAY SIX After an American Breakfast your morning is free before transfer to the airport. -- End of Tour -- Map of Northern Thailand and points of Interest during the Excursion EXCURSION INCLUDES: All transfers, baggage handling, transportation via air conditioned van, guide, all meals where stated in daily itinerary, all entrance fees, lodging in selected Hotels or Guest Houses in Chiangmai, Chiangrai and Thaton, Long Tail Boat ride.
